You don't need anywhere else to be.
Just the way home.
Community yoga classes at the Birkdale Community House, honest writing on wellness and tantric philosophy, and a few well-made things for your practice. No pretense. No pressure. Just a way back to yourself.
"Home isn't the place you left. It's the practice of arriving, again and again, in this body."
This week's community classes
Drop in, no experience needed. Every class is small by design.
Kula, कुल —Sanskrit for community: the family we choose, bound not by blood but by shared practice.
Payment is on the day — see each class for accepted payment methods. No need to pay ahead online.
New here? Register in advance → — takes two minutes and helps me prepare for your first class.
Mindful Yoga Flow
A steady, breath-led flow to arrive in the body before the day claims it.
Gentle Movement, Breathwork & Meditation
A short, soft session of movement, breath and stillness. Give what feels right.
Restorative Yin Yoga
Long, supported holds. Blankets, bolsters, and permission to do absolutely nothing.
I have more room in my week than what's listed here — and I'd love to shape it around what the community actually wants. If there's a style, a time, or a day that would genuinely get you on a mat (or if something's been keeping you away), tell me below. Share your thoughts →
Reserve a spot in a class
Classes are drop-in, so this isn't required — but it helps me know who to expect.
New student registration
Fill this in ahead of time so your first class can start the moment you arrive.
A little context helps me teach you well
This isn't a formality — knowing your experience level and anything going on in your body means I can adjust the class in real time, offer the right variations, and keep you safe. Everything you share stays private between us.
Reflections on life, wellness & tantric philosophy
On hold for now, while classes and registration take priority.
The Study is resting for now.
New writing on presence, the body, and the philosophy underneath the practice will land here soon. Want to know the moment it does?

The shop is just getting started — two things now in stock.
Kousaido Hyakurakko — Yuzu Incense
Japanese incense sticks in bright, citrus yuzu, hand-blended in Kyoto over a base of natural sandalwood. Box of 40 sticks with an aluminium holder, roughly 20–30 minutes burn time per stick.
NZ Linseed & Lavender Eye Pillow
Hand-filled in New Zealand with NZ-grown linseed and dried lavender, in a soft linen cover. Gently weighted to ease tension around the eyes and brow during savasana, meditation or rest. Available in oatmeal, mustard and olive linen — let us know a preference or we'll choose for you.
Next up: a buckwheat meditation cushion — made or chosen in small batches, nothing you don't need.

I have more room in my week than what's currently on offer, and I'd rather build it around what the community actually needs than guess. What styles or offerings are missing? What days or times would actually work? What's kept you away, if anything has?
Stay near the hearth.
One email a fortnight — new classes, a fresh reflection, and first word on Full Moon Gatherings. No noise.
